In a deployment where you wish you use your own router.
You may want to use your own router to retain settings specific to your internal network or you have meshing hardware which isn’t supported by our controllers
Settings for your Router
You will need to configure your router with the following settings – Please check with your router manufacture for the locations of the settings.
WAN Settings
On your router, if you browse to where your WAN settings are located, sometimes the tab is marked as “Internet”
You’ll need to select the WAN setting for the port which is facing the SimRush and set it to DHCP.
e.g on a DrayTek for example you would find WAN1, WAN2 (depending on your model) so you would set the WAN settings to DHCP for the port which is connected to the SimRush
SimRush Static IP
If SimRush has Static IP service attached and you wish to manage the port forwarding on your own router, contact support to enable DMZ.
⚠️ Port forwarding not available on connections without a SimRush Static IP service.
