SimRush M1 – QuickStart Guide

The M1 Office Switch has eight gigabit ethernet ports and offers several different power output options:

  • autosensing 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ and,
  • Passive PoE

It also offers four SFP ports to provide optical fibre connectivity options to support uplinks of up to 1Gbps.

Included with the switch is a 28V 3.4A power supply.

There is a secondary DC jack on the back of the enclosure that supports 48-57V power supply (48V power supply not included, can be purchased separately).

M1 Office Switch can power 802.3af/at devices if 48-57 V DC input is used as the unit will automatically detect and provide correct power to devices.

Max current is 1A per port if input voltage is 18-28 V, 450 mA if 48-57 V.

Total limit is 2.8A@24V and 1.4A@48-57V.

This switch can be desktop or rack mounted for discrete installation.

Instructions:

The unit is preconfigured to connect to the SimRush Controller which will show its online status via SPanel.

  1. Unbox the access point and follow the cable guide below.
  2. Power the unit via the supplied PSU.
  3. Connect devices to switch as desired.

ℹ️ We would recommend using Port 1 as the “Uplink” port which connects back to the SimRush Controller.

Powering:

This unit is powered by 24v DC via a DC power jack, it also supports a secondary DC jack for 48v Input

The PSU is supplied with the unit at 24v 2.5a 60w.

This unit supports PoE Output of 24v Passive and 48v 802.3af/at (when additional 48v PSU is installed) standards on all 8 ports.

⚠️ This unit does not support 48v (802.3af/at) output as standard.

To supply 48v (802.3af/at) to your PoE devices, an additional PSU 48v input is required (Purchased separately).
